So I got an invite to Google's new App engine. I'm interested in it, mostly for scalability, but I almost feel like a thief, since I really don't know python.
Nasa World Wind 1.4 looks to best Google Earth

NASA's latest version of an earth browser, World Wind, is soon to be released. A Java based version this time around, it should run on all platforms. How fast is another question. But given the feature list and this preview video, I am excited
